Adelie Foods has announced the appointment of Gary Pothecary to its commercial convenience team. Following successful spells at KerryFresh, Ginsters and Jonathan Crisp, Pothecary becomes commercial controller, bringing more than 25 years’ experience to bear on what he sees as an exciting role.
He is already relishing the challenge. On joining the organisation, Pothecary said: “In the convenience and forecourt sector, food-to-go is incredibly fragmented, with local unbranded sandwich offerings not resonating with the needs of today’s consumer. I know retailers think there is a lack of consistency, and this is where I see an opportunity for Adelie Foods to drive forward higher quality and consistency of service.”
Martin Johnson, CEO of Adelie Foods, added: “We’re delighted to welcome such a wealth of experience to the organisation. I’m confident Gary will help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans and propel us to greater success.”
