“I was absolutely delighted to be presented the Business and Industry Award at the annual FSM Awards in London last November. I’ve been a business manager for Sodexo at Allstate Northern Ireland since June 2018, having worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. At Allstate I lead and train a 14-strong team to deliver a range of catering and hospitality services to its 1,400 employees in the Belfast office.
“I’m proud to have developed a bespoke brand at Allstate that brings a unique identity to the catering services we provide. I’m constantly thinking of new ways to evolve our offering to meet the needs of our customers in the staff restaurant. Ours is the space where our customers can socialise, collaborate and grow, so it’s important we’re serving tempting, healthy and nutritious food choices for them to refuel on.
“Working in partnership with the client, we make sure to honour the traditional customer favourites, as well as embrace global cuisine trends and events. On World Vegan Day, we turned the cafeteria into a vegan-style restaurant, which was a great success.
“I’m honoured to have received this award on behalf of all my team’s hard work. It was a pleasure to travel to London for the gala dinner and the award itself is proudly on display at Allstate for all to see.”
